StoreWatch QA
Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 14, 2026
StoreWatch QA processes merchant and app-configuration data needed to provide storefront buying-path monitoring for the installed Shopify store.
Data StoreWatch processes
- Shop domain and Shopify installation/session records.
- Configured public product URL and optional discount code.
- Optional storefront password saved by the merchant.
- Alert email, monitor status, schedule, and related settings.
- Monitor run history, step results, and safe diagnostic metadata.
- Alert events and email delivery-attempt metadata.
- Billing status metadata when billing features are enabled.
Data StoreWatch does not request
StoreWatch QA does not request protected customer data access or Admin API resource scopes for products, orders, customers, payments, or shipping. StoreWatch does not intentionally collect Shopify customer, order, payment, shipping, or checkout-completion data.
Monitor checks stop at checkout handoff. StoreWatch QA does not enter customer, shipping, or payment information, does not attempt order completion, and does not place orders.
Security and service providers
StoreWatch QA uses application-managed encryption before persisting an optional storefront password. If secure encryption is unavailable, the password save is rejected. The saved value is never displayed back to the merchant and is decrypted only in server memory while a monitor accesses a password-protected storefront. It is not included in public pages, run details, logs, diagnostics, or alert emails.
StoreWatch QA uses Shopify for installation and authentication, Render and Render Postgres for hosting and data storage, Resend for email delivery, and GitHub for source and deployment workflows. These services process information only as needed for their operational roles.
Privacy requests and deletion
StoreWatch QA supports Shopify-required privacy and compliance webhooks. On uninstall, monitoring is disabled and Shopify sessions for the shop are removed. The Shopify shop-redaction workflow deletes shop-scoped StoreWatch configuration, run history, alert and delivery metadata, billing-status metadata, and remaining sessions for that shop.
Merchants can request access, correction, or deletion of StoreWatch data by emailing support@storewatchqa.com.
